Recipe for two all natural scrubs to help lively up tired dull skin. A Sea salt coconut oil body scrub & Sugar honey face scrub for skin that’s moisturized, silky smooth and glowing all day long.
Sea salt and brown sugar exfoliate the skin.
Coconut oil and local honey moisturize and nourish.
Why sea salt?
Sea salt has relatively small granules and is high in minerals. When used as a scrub it purifies the skin, lets the skin breathe easier, increases blood circulation, leaving you with soft glowing skin.
But it can be too strong on the face, so we use brown sugar for the face scrub instead.
Why brown sugar?
Brown sugar has glycolic acid which protects the skin against toxins, conditions and moisturizes the skin all in one.
But, it doesn’t have the minerals found in salt.
So, we add just a teaspoon of the sea salt scrub in our sugar scrub. The salt will melt, giving us its benefits but in a gentle way.
See recipes below.
Sea salt & coconut oil body scrub recipe
1 cup sea salt
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 tsp Himalayan rock salt (optional, for added minerals)
1 tbsp whole rosemary leaves (optional)
combine all ingredients in a container (tupperware)
save one teaspoon to add later to the sugar face scrub
use as is, or if you prefer a thicker texture, place in fridge for 30 min.
Don’t freak out if you forget it in the fridge (it will become a block of salt), just let it come to room temperature and it will become usable again

hop in the shower and dampen and cleanse your skin, apply scrub and scrub in circular motion. Rinse. Pat dry.
